Spain sells Moroccan Army aviation material for one million euros and gives
months the Western Sahara conflict worsened and the violation of human rights came to the camp of El Aaiun, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Trinidad Jimenez, declined to condemn the attitude of Rabat and said: "The Government must put in before the interests of Spain. " These interests are included in exports to the English arms industry made to this North African country.
According to the report the Ministry of Foreign Trade under the Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Trade Miguel Sebastian heads, sent last week to the parliamentary groups on data export of defense for the first half of 2010, the Alawite kingdom badly nothing came of these operations. In particular, Spain to Morocco made sales of EUR 1,121,493 for aircraft material. This was at the hands of private firms, but not in its entirety (100% of equipment), the same armed forces who were accused of assaulting the camp of Laayoune.
While the report, industry does not specify in detail the components of this set, it does says it relates to products such as "combat aircraft, unmanned aerial vehicles, aero engines, unmanned aerial vehicles, fuel supply, pressurized breathing equipment, parachutes and automatic steering system s. Also, the document in question includes Morocco and export payee "products and dual-use technologies" (civil and military) that reached between January and June last year, a sum close to one million (797,130 euros). In this case, the Secretary of State for Foreign Trade clarifies that this material was as private enterprise end user.
In the overall, industry says that the value of this block of exports, for dual-use equipment, rose in the first half of 2010 to 54.5 million euros, an increase of 20.8% over what was exported in the same period last year. Anticipating Sebastian Department report and based on customs data Tax Agency, a group of NGOs, including Amnesty International, Greenpeace, Oxfam and Peace Foundation, warned of the risk of causing economic crisis in Spain increased arms exports to destinations that might violate the regulations.
Law 53/2007 on the arms trade sets limits for export to countries and territories where they can be used to violate human rights, or be used in actions that disturb the peace, stability or security exacerbate tensions or conflicts. In this regard, NGOs expressed their "concern" over certain operations of the English authorities in Morocco, Israel and Iran.

Morocco has become the seventh destination of English arms sales and the second after Brazil outside the EU. In the last decade Spain has sold arms to Morocco for more than 200 million euros, including products and dual-use (which presumably can be used as a weapon) with a value of 7,227,180 euros. The sale of arms and ammunition, as well as parts and accessories in this period has exceeded 10 million euros, weapons that can be assigned to the police.
recent English arms sales to Morocco
In 2009, the report accepted the Government's own sales of 31.1 million euros, including 286 vehicles including SUV and light weapons parts. In 2008 Spain sold the 1,015 Moroccan army vehicles and military trucks by 113.90 million euros.
These exports represent a breach of the Law on Foreign Trade in Defence and Dual Use (Law 53/2007), which requires to deny exports to countries with political instability and democratic states, which are in conflict, which violate the human rights of its citizens, or to prioritize defense spending over social such as education and health. Morocco meets several of these requirements.
Last year, in 2007, entered into an agreement between Spain and Morocco in the amount of 200 million euros for the sale of 1,200 vehicles, high mobility tactical road 800 trucks and 10 patrol boats for coastal surveillance. Moreover, this year 2007, the Government reported the sale of 20 all-terrain vehicles by $ 1.8 million, but provided no details about the 9 million that were sold under the description of bombs, torpedoes, rockets and missiles and other material without description.
Spain gives weapons to Morocco
In 2008 the Cabinet decided to authorize the sale of six MK-46 lightweight torpedoes for the Royal Moroccan Navy for just "one euro". This torpedo is equipped with a warhead of 44 kilograms of high explosive PBXN-103. But the gifts of arms of the English Government to the Alawite monarchy are not limited to this transfer, but also in 2008 gave eight sets of bomb-throwers aviation, serving for the use of free-fall bombs, also for a euro, despite being valued at 86,848 euros.
The sale of arms from Spain to Morocco clearly shows two aspects of English foreign policy:
- One of them concerns that Morocco is a priority partner that you can sell or even give weapons because it is a threat to our country.
- The second aspect concerns the enormous weight of the arms business in English foreign policy, even when supplied by the war or repression, placing financial gain over ethical or moral considerations and even national legislation or existing international arms trade.
The English arms trade may be another reason why the English Government does not wish to exercise their responsibility as former colonial powers for the Saharawi people to choose their own future

day chronology of dead birds in the world
A strange coincidence of dead birds on the planet has sparked alarm among scientists and people in the world
Marcial Barrios
in the United States In the New Year's Eve 5000 birds, calleron unexplained deaths in Arkansas. Meanwhile on the other side of the world, Valencia, Spain, at midnight, several birds were found dead in the main street, a very similar event, albeit on a smaller scale, happened in Arkansas, where thousands of birds fell swoon. Around twelve o'clock, a group of young people passing through the area and saw the bodies of many birds probably starlings.
In Italy, in the town of Faenza, thousands of pigeons dropped dead for several days from January 2 in the Pan, in gardens and houses, without explanation, reported Geapress. Only today January 7 massively spread the news in the television media and the press in general.
"Only we have collected a 400 (Dove). But the doves are many more thousands. Why die? We do not know. For the moment, is a mystery, "said the representative of WWF, Massimo Bolognesi, quoted by La Stampa, Italy
According to experts, some blue spots on the doves indicate signs of hypoxia, caused, for example, by suffocation. But it is also typical of potassium cyanide. However, the same medium is considered less likely to have been suffocated.
In Louisiana on Monday, January 3 500 birds died in the town of Pointe Coupee. Dozens also showed up in Kentucky the same day.
Shortly after midnight on January 4, between 50 and 100 birds appeared killed in the town of Sweden.
Following the spate of dead birds and fish in Arkansas in Maryland, a Google Maps application allows you to check that other parts of the world have similar phenomena occurred in mass animal deaths. The record includes dozens of cases only in the early days of the year 2011 and not only in the U.S., also in the UK, Italy, Brazil and Australia reported: http://www.radiocable.com/google-maps-animales656.html All these deaths

The government doubled the sale of arms to countries that violate human rights
Only 42 percent of total sales just in countries of the European Union or NATO.
December 31, 1910 - - M. MADRID-Gutiérrez
In the first half of this year, Spain sold arms to Morocco worth more than four million euros. A group of NGOs, including Amnesty International and Oxfam, were ahead of the publication of data by the Government (to be held in early January) and have complained that each time our arms industry sells more and worse.
The report of the Campaign Control Arms, based on statistics from the Tax Office shows that Spain has doubled the sale of weapons during the first half of 2010 compared with the same period in 2009. The destinations of the material are in many cases, countries that violate human rights flagrantly, as is the case of Morocco and Saudi Arabia. Those organizations believe that the government of Zapatero may be violating Article 8 of the Sale of Weapons Act (53/2007), which restricts trade with countries or territories where the material can be used to violate human rights or be used in actions that disturb the peace, stability and security and exacerbate tensions or conflicts. This is the case of Morocco, where last November 8th Security Forces evacuated by force the Saharawi protest camp located 14 miles from Laayoune.
The Alawite kingdom is the second customer in Spain in the first half of the year that ends today. The first was Turkey, which bought weapons material worth 38.9 million euros.
REASON In statements, the campaign spokesman for Amnesty International, Francisco Ortega, said that "since 2000 the increase is sustained and follows a purely economic criterion "that is" troubling "because it follows the law enacted in 2007. For the platform "Arms Control", the current financial crisis has contributed to a "clear tension" between the interests of the English defense industry and the legislation that regulates it.
can be realized in 2011 also one of the more bulky operations history and will be with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, a regular at the top of the list of countries enemies of freedom. At stake is the delivery of 200 Leopard tanks worth 3,000 million euros and the Government has given no sign that the transaction will prevent as required by law.
is also currently underway in the High Court an investigation into arms sales to Morocco in 2009, Spain reported a nearly 30 million euro profit. Seven agencies Saharawi defenders, most notably the International Association of Jurists for Western Sahara, a lawsuit filed in April by the Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Trade on the grounds that the rule is being violated 53/2007. In its complaint, the plaintiffs claim that between 2007 and 2010 was sold to the United Alawi products worth 330 million euros.
Inés Miranda's lawyer, who represented the Sahrawi activist during Haidar his hunger strike in Lanzarote, said that weapons sold to Rabat "is not only tanks but also handguns, handcuffs and even new technologies." According
Francisco Ortego, despite the great sensitivity of public opinion in Western Sahara conflict, nothing indicates that the government will relent in her efforts to give Morocco dual-use equipment, especially ammunition, trucks, cars combat shotguns and a ship so far this year. Quite the contrary. However, the spokesperson for Amnesty itself has been a growing 'responsiveness to our messages "between the representatives in Congress" to much of what we propose. " Of Indeed, he says, "the Defense Committee includes many of our demands."

Dog Teeth Cleaning Extractions
statements of a former Moroccan army officer
I must say that before posting on this blog this interview, I have the personal approval of Abdelilahou Issou
[These are some Excerpts - translated from French - the recent interview of former Moroccan officer to Algerian newspaper "Echorouk"]. Translation: Muntada Sahara.
Abdelilahou Issou, the official Moroccan army deserter in exclusive statements to the Algerian newspaper "Echorouk"
"The cease-fire saved the Moroccan army from defeat against Polisario
Abdelilahou
Issou was an army officer who served in Morocco and Western Sahara have lived the war on Front Polisario. Today, he lives as a political refugee in Madrid, Spain, since he fled his country in January 2002. is chased by Moroccan intelligence services for several years. These services have tried to kidnap him.
He was accused of spying for the secret services of Spain. Abdelilahou Issou was born on June 8, 1965 in Tetuan, in northern Morocco.
In this interview, the first that gives an Arab newspaper, it revealed to this newspaper several stories about the army of Morocco, Western Sahara, drug trafficking and human rights. Anouar Malek
: How do you joined the army in Morocco? Abdelilahou
Issou: After the massacres committed by the Moroccan army in January 1984 in Tetuan and other cities to suppress the strike force at the time, I decided to join the military academy to try to change things from within. At that time, I was convinced that people were "noble" that could change the course of events. I left the academy in September 1988 with the rank of lieutenant and was assigned to the infantry. There is an important detail that I would mention is that my father was a friend of the late General Abdelsalam Elhadj Ben Omar, also called Nigra. This gave me a letter and asked me to convey to his friend General Abdelnabi Brital the academy director at the time. The purpose of this letter was to assign me a good position. However, this was and is against my principles, so that gave him the letter. I'm sure many of my colleagues in those days, and if were me, would have used this golden opportunity. Anouar Malek
: You served Western Sahara as Moroccan army officer, could you tell us something about what you have experienced? Abdelilahou
Issou: As section chief lieutenant and a lieutenant who was appointed company commander. Infantry units in Western Sahara is divided into two categories. The first category is based on the confinement along the belt (the wall) that was built under the supervision of Israeli experts. The wall is of a length of 2700 km. This category has no cars (or trucks or other vehicles). The company is divided into sections. Among the positions that control sections, there are areas of the wall that are not covered, but they are mined and fenced with barbed wire. However, this did not prevent the Front Command units entering these areas. The second category consists of mobile intervention forces quickly. They had vehicles, better weapons and control was better from the tactical standpoint. The units located in the seat belt is removed and run every time there is major attacks, as they lacked the resources to deal with the tanks of Polisario. As head of section have foiled several attempts to infiltrate the Polisario Front Command between 1988 and 1990. But despite my accomplishments, I was never rewarded for it. You see the high command of the south, stationed in the city of Agadir, far from the front, showed off their chests full of medals, despite not ever having stepped on the floor of the Western Sahara. That is the bitter truth. Anouar Malek
: What was the situation of Moroccan soldiers in the barracks during the war? Abdelilahou
Issou: The Polisario daily bombarded us with machine guns of 14.5 and 23 mm mortars and 60 or 82 mm caliber, there were many casualties, not to mention the wounded. Our fortified bases in the wall were permanent objective RPG7 rocket (rocket-propelled grenades), and our life became hell. In addition, commands Saharawi infiltrate our positions and beheaded the sentries. Personally not sleep at night, he was always alert. But after the 1991 ceasefire, the situation has improved. Frankly, the Moroccan army tremble at the thought of the Polisario Front Command. Should war break out again, the Moroccan regime would be the biggest loser, worse still, the soldiers abandon their positions.
99% of the Sahrawi are with the Polisario Front, the self-determination is the only solution. Anouar Malek
: How do you assess the human rights situation in Morocco and Western Sahara? Abdelilahou
Issou: Rights humans are not respected, nor in Morocco or Western Sahara. The Saharawi are considered second class citizens. They are mistreated, persecuted and oppressed, and many of them joined the Frente Polisario. 99% of the Sahrawi are with the Polisario Front, body and soul. It is also for this reason that the Moroccan regime denied the referendum. The Saharawi see their wealth plundered daily. One day I saw a Saharan sand-laden boat for sale in the Canary Islands. The examples on the illegal exploitation of Saharawi resources abound.
Anouar Malek: The Saharawi people is oppressed, their wealth plundered, we could comment on the injustice suffered by these people?
Abdelilahou Issou: An official friend once told me that in the late 70's, a group of soldiers of the 6th Regiment Intervention reached a hammam (Turkish bath) for women in the city of Smara and raped all the women they were there. The soldiers broke into houses and stole everything that had value and raped the women there in their homes. Even children and the elderly did not escape the barbarism of the Moroccan soldiers. The Saharawi people suffering from oppression and injustice, and violence that is physical and moral suffering. Therefore, a large number of Sahrawi refugees in Tindouf went south western Algeria to save their lives.
